Automatic Burger Forming Machine – Formatic R2200

The Formatic R2200 from Deighton Manufacturing (UK) Ltd is a professional food forming and portioning machine designed for efficient, high-quality burger production. Suitable for small to medium food producers, it can process a wide range of products including meat, fish, potato, vegetable, bakery, cheese, and confectionery mixtures.

Part of the compact R Series range, the R2200 is capable of producing formed products up to 120mm in diameter while delivering outputs of up to 2,200 portions per hour. Variable speed control allows operators to adjust production rates to suit different workflows and product types.

The Formatic system is designed for simple, consistent performance across mixtures with varying textures and consistencies. Synchronised paddles gently compress the mixture into the selected forming drum, helping maintain product quality and appearance. A wire drum scraper assists in smoothly releasing the formed products onto the conveyor for packaging or further processing.

The R2200 is supplied with a 15kg hopper and can be fitted with either a 100mm (4”) or 118mm (5”) forming drum. A wide variety of drum shapes are available, from traditional burgers and rectangles to seasonal or custom shapes, offering flexibility for different product ranges and promotions.

The integrated automatic paper feed places a burger paper beneath each product during forming, improving handling and simplifying packaging. Compatible burger papers are available separately.

Compatible burger papers are manufactured from 73gsm paper, feature a 6mm locating hole, and are supplied in boxes containing 45 reams of 500 papers each.
